Hemp & Cannabis FAQ
What is hemp?
Hemp, or industrial hemp, is a strain of Cannabis Sativa L, that naturally produces low amounts of THC (less than 0.3%) and therefore does not have any euphoric effects when consumed.
Hemp, however, still naturally grows with high amounts of CBD, terpenes, phytonutrients and other cannabinoids that will interact with your body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS).
Hemp was historically prized for its use as a raw material and nutrient source, however it was prohibited to grow in the U.S. until the 2014 Farm Bill Act (Section 7606 of the Agricultural Act of 2014) was passed. This federal legislation once again gave rise to the agricultural farming of hemp. States are now given federal permission to implement state-run hemp pilot research programs. Under these state programs, American companies have begun growing hemp plants of superior quality to make into products and sell to the public.
The U.S. hemp industry is still in its infancy and as it continues to grow at a rapid pace, Sativa Remedy promises to be your dedicated retailer of America’s best hemp CBD products.
What is CBD?
CBD is 1 of 85+ cannabinoids found in plant strains of Cannabis Sativa L, such as hemp.
CBD does not cause euphoric-effects, like THC, and is considered the prominent cannabinoid of industrial hemp strains.
Want to learn more about CBD?
Unfortunately, due to current FDA regulations, we are unable to discuss many of the important topics of CBD that are scientifically based. Education is important to us, and we encourage all to conduct your own research as there are many reliable sources of scientific and scholarly information regarding CBD and other important cannabinoids.

How much CBD should I consume?
Each product will have a listed serving size, and the product will specify how much CBD is in each serving size.
We encourage you to properly self-titrate for each product you use, which means to start by taking the recommended serving size and wait to feel the effects. If the desired outcome is still not met, take another recommended serving size and repeat the process until the desired outcome is met. The next time you consume CBD, you can start with that amount.
How should I store CBD products?
We encourage you to always store your CBD products in a cool, dry, and dark place. Heat and light, given enough time, can begin to degrade or alter the structure of the cannabinoids in hemp products.
What's the difference between between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and CBD Isolate?
All of our products start with great hemp plants that are grown by passionate people. These hemp plants in their natural state contain many types of compounds such as:
- Cannabinoids
- Terpenes
- Flavonoids
- Phytonutrients
The extraction process each company uses after the plants are harvested will determine how much of these plant compounds remain in the final product. We use two terms to identify what exactly is in their hemp CBD products.
Full Spectrum:
Generally, full spectrum hemp CBD will contain trace amounts of THC (less than %0.3), and this formulation is what we encourage as it allows you to benefit from entourage effects that come from the full plant.
Broad Spectrum:
Broad spectrum hemp CBD is essentially the exact same as Full Spectrum, except for the fact that there is zero THC found in these extracts. This type of extract is ideal for those who are wanting to feel a more synergistic effect from CBD but still want to stay away from THC whether for personal or job related purposes.
CBD Isolate:
Isolates are exactly what it sounds like; companies extract the hemp plant in a specialized way so they can isolate just CBD molecules, and leave out everything else. This is great for those who do not want to consume any trace amounts of THC. We are aware that there are many people who are still weary of taking any product with any level of THC due to personal or employment circumstances, which is where ISOLATES would be a better option.
