Hours Full Time: 35-40 hours weekly at $16.50/hourly 

Part Time: 20-32 hours weekly at $16.50/hourly

Position Overview

Sativa Remedy is seeking customer-oriented, passionate PT and FT Dispensary Associate to join our hemp dispensary team. As a Dispensary Associate you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service and guidance to our valued customers. Your primary responsibility will be to educate and assist customers in selecting and purchasing products based on their needs and preferences.

This position reports to and works closely with the Dispensary Assistant Manager and Dispensary Manager.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Provide superior customer service while providing professional consultations to customers
  • Educate and help customers in understanding the various forms of hemp products, such as flower, concentrates, edibles, and topicals
  • Provide accurate information about product characteristics, effects, and potential benefits
  • Assess customers’ preferences, needs, and tolerance levels to make personalized recommendations
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash register balances.
  • Ensure the dispensary is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Maintain knowledge on industry trends, new or existing products, and changes in laws and regulations
  • Maintain first-hand product knowledge through personal experience and testing of products
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and supportive work environment 

 

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience

  • 2+ years previous retail sales and customer service experience.

Education

  • A.A/A.S Associates degree. 
  • Or, equivalent experience includes a High School Diploma plus 4+ years in relevant work experience.

Soft Skills 

  • Strong ability to retain, recall, and communicate new information
  • A passion for cannabis that is translatable to a diverse group of ages, ethnicities, and professionals
  • Compassionate and high quality customer service 
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, or equivalent data entry/management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and product-related information in a professional consultative manner 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills 
  • Must maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency 
  • Experience in a fast-paced compliance driven environment
  • Cannabis Industry Experience preferred but not required
  • Experience in retail management or other managerial position preferred but not required
  • Detail Oriented, for example noticing typos or misprints
  • Quality Oriented, for example caring about label alignment
  • Organized and Efficient
  • Ability to follow precise standard operating procedures
  • Disciplined and calm under pressure
  • Adaptable to changing roles and responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

 

Compensation

  • $16.50/hour

Working conditions

  • Operational Hours: Weekdays 11-7pm and Weekends 11-5pm 
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time
  • Position may require occasional travel within the WNY region 

 

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift 50lbs+ and lift heavy objects on regular basis
  • Able to do repetitive tasks with few breaks 
  • Can pass state required background check
